We’re excited to be serving the widely popular “Original Single Barrel Bourbon,” an award-winning and highly coveted bourbon produced in Frankfort, Kentucky. The Bluegrass state produces nearly all of the country’s bourbon, thanks to the plentiful limestone rock used for distilling, and the high-quality soil and climate that lends itself to excellent brewing standards. Come taste the difference for yourself at our Northern VA bar!
Eagle Rare Bourbon
Blanton’s isn’t the only bourbon brand we’ll be pouring this season. Eagle Rare Bourbon is also one of Kentucky’s gems and one of our favorites! Aged for ten years or more, each barrel brings a unique tasting experience with notes of toffee, orange, herbs, honey, leather, and oak that you’re sure to enjoy tasting.
Created in London in 1925, the Hanky Panky is known as the “perfect after-dinner sipper” and features notes of gin, sweet vermouth, and Fernet-Branca. This cocktail mixes a dry and bitter overall flavor with a sweetness that sets off the experience. The Hanky Panky was even served at Princess Mary’s London wedding, so come clink glasses with a cocktail fit for royalty!
The Scofflaw is known as a nod to Americans who survived the Prohibition period. Created in 1924 in Paris as a citrusy yet strong drink, it combines the best of the Daiquiri and a Manhattan to create a unique blend of rye whiskey, dry vermouth, lime juice, and grenadine.
This classic Prohibition Era cocktail blends gin, fresh lemon juice, and honey with a lemon twist for a festive drink you can really celebrate with. This sweet concoction lives up to its name and is just one of the drinks you’ll get to sip on as you take in the Virginia sunsets from our terrace or dance the night away with your other half.
Raise a glass of Bourbon whiskey, sweet vermouth and Campari in the form of a fabulous Boulevardier, named after a Paris magazine by an American author in the 1920s. It’s the perfect way to remember the history of our favorite roaring twenties drinks while greeting the new twenties with optimism and hope. Sip sip hooray!
