About this position:

Our small French Country Inn and Fine Dining Restaurant is looking for a full-time receptionist for our front office. This person should have an upbeat, professional, outgoing personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests and upsell our services to current and potential guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the face of the company—interact with guests
  • Answer office phone – transfer calls to appropriate party and take messages
  • Take reservations for the bed and breakfast and for the restaurants
  • Manage reservation schedules
  • Administrative office duties (filing, copying, faxing, mailing packages, etc.)
  • Must be a person that can wear many hats and very personable.
  • Complete projects and tasks in a timely fashion

Requirements:

  • Excellent computer skills
  • Pleasant and professional phone voice
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint and Outlook)
  • Experience posting to social media (posting pictures with captions, responding to guests’ messages)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • H.S. diploma

Desired, but not required:

  • Experience in hospitality

Grounds Keeper / Maintenance

Looking for an experienced groundskeeper to join our team at our French Country Inn and Restaurant, located in White Post Virginia! MUST have knowledge of flowers, fruit trees, and landscaping.

L’Auberge Provencale is situated on over nine acres combined with our sister property three miles down the road. From lawn care and tending to our vegetable/ herb and flower gardens, along with 40 plus fruit trees to assisting with light maintenance, this is an opportunity to join the team at an established Bed and Breakfast located in beautiful Clarke County.

Food Runner

The food runner greets customers and generally assists the waiter in all aspects of fine dining and bar/bistro service. The food runner brings out meal orders for the waiters, busses tables, fills waters, does bread service and coffee service. The food runner makes sure that all flatware and glassware sparkles, helps with set up and break down of the dining rooms. This team player ensures patrons have all appropriate tableware for each course and handles impromptu requests for the customer. This is an entry level position that has room for advancement as knowledge of operations and food and wine grows. Experience preferred but not necessary.

Waiter/Waitress

Greets customers, takes orders from customers and suggests menu and drink items to ensure a high level of service. Must have knowledge of wine regions, wine pairings, and cocktails. A neat appearance and good manners are essential. A sense of hospitality is treasured here at the inn. The waiter/waitress should have excellent communication and active listening skills. They should have impeccable service skills and social perceptiveness. All front staff should have physical stamina to stand and walk during shifts and be oriented toward serving others. Experience required.
